Welcome to Today's Chiropractic Clinic

Almost no one wants to live with pain regularly. It’s not a condition that people wake up one day and choose to experience as they walk out the door and start their day. Unfortunately, the body is a mechanical system that relies on connections, structure, energy production, diet, hormones, chemicals, and fuel. When one of these elements in hundreds of inputs and functions goes wrong, it starts to hamper performance. We feel that a bad day being sick or in more challenging situations comes with chronic problems, pain, and difficulty getting around. Discover more about the body by visiting Today's Chiropractic Clinic in Des Moines, WA.

Traditional Medicine Versus Chiropractic Treatment

The traditional medical approach focuses on immediate injury or a visibly identified problem and usually provides immediate relief to help the body relax. Unfortunately, this approach can be frequently symptom-oriented versus cause-focused. For example, it’s commonly experienced with pain medication that allows for a moment, but the pain returns.

Chiropractic Adjustment

At Today's Chiropractic, we follow a chiropractor’s focus on the body as a whole. Therefore, we strive to find the cause of pain and problems first. In doing so, we work on solving the primary driver of difficulty and what brings a patient to our office in the first place. Dr. Charles Laycock can apply a full diagnostic scoping and evaluation for every patient. By doing so, we identify not what the patient is sensing or experiencing but concerns they may not be fully aware of. For example, a sciatic nerve pinch will cause significant pain in the lower leg and back, which the patient knows intimately. The root cause may be a spinal misalignment or a disc pushing on the nerve.
